Zainab Market

Zainab Market is situated in the heart of City (Saddar) at the end of Zaibunnisa Street near Hotel Avari Tower. It is also at walking distance from other reknown hotels like PC, Sheraton & Marriot. Nearest markets are Zaibunnisa Street, Bohri Bazar Saddar. So it is a place for complete family shopping. Shop keepers keep latest variety of stuff according to fashion.Men's wear shops are on the ground floor.Women's wear shops are in the basement 1-You can buy latest variety of Jeans, Shirts, T-Shirts for both men/women. 2-It is also good place for shopping interior decoration/gift items. One of my foriegner friend liked embroided Cushion covers there. 3-Leather jackets, wallets, purses & other Leather stuff is available too. Like many other markets in Karachi they don't offer fix price. So you have to bargain as much as you can.

First Pakistani Ladies Sports womens

Shabana Akhtar (born April 5, 1972) appeared on the Pakistan National Athletics scene in 1989 when she became the national champion in 100M and 200M. She also became the national champion in 4x100M Relay, 4×400 Relay, 400M, long jump and high jump during 1992 and maintains her record even today. She won a total number of 42 gold medals. She is also the first Pakistani female athlete to participate at the Olympics, when she competed in the women’s long jump at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.   Naseem Hamid comes from an impoverished slum in Pakistan’s biggest city of Karachi. The 22-year-old became South Asia’s fastest woman by winning the 100-metre in the 11 th South Asian Federation Games (SAF) in Dhaka on February 8 th 2010. Manora Lighthouse at Cape Monze

One of the oldest lighthouses near Karachi, the structure is much higher than the one at Manora. The height is approx. 167 feet. The status of this lighthouse has been downgraded to a beacon (thus the black & white markings), which emits an audio signal directing ships towards Karachi.The isolated lighthouse coast was flooded with seashells, and rocky enclave inhabited by crabs. Entry is restricted via Nathiagali. You will require Navy’s permission to first access the base, and then a 4x4 to drive towards the lighthouse. Along the way we saw some very ancient graves of Arabs generals who came to this place 1000 of years ago.
