President Zardari in Tokyo on Official Visit

President Asif Ali Zardari arrived here on Monday on a three day official visit to Japan.  The President is visiting Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan, to further strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries and open new avenues of cooperation. This will be the President’s second visit to Japan since assuming office. During his stay in Japan, the President will call on the Emperor of Japan. He will hold summit level talks with Prime Minister Naoto Kan.

PML(N) Rejects Idea of Alliance With PML(Q)

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif said his party will not form an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q). He said the PML-N had dismissed the idea even during governor rule in Punjab. Addressing party workers in Lahore, Nawaz said there was no place in the PML-N for those who sided with a dictator. He further said the military’s duty was to guard the country’s borders, not to partake in politics.

Libyan Protests Escalate as EU Scrambles For Response

  Unfazed by the ruling regime’s warning to stifle by any means the threat of a civil war, violent protests against Libya’s longtime leader Moammar Gadhafi were continuing in Tripoli  on Monday with reports that demonstrators had stormed state broadcasting facilities and set a number of government buildings on fire. Bursts of gunfire were heard overnight for the first time in the capital since violence broke out six days ago in Libya’s second-largest city, Benghazi. Dozens of people were reported killed in Tripoli in clashes overnight. Medical sources said 61 people had died. Human Rights Watch said the death toll had risen to 233 since the protests erupted late last week.

ICC World Cup 2011 is Jointly India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

  The ICC World Cup 2011 is jointly hosting three sub continent nations namely India, Sri Lanka and  Bangladesh. World Cup finals will be played at Mumbai in India. There is two days remaining for the commencement of first World Cup match in which co hosts India and Bangladesh will fight for their pride. The fans are allowed in to the Bangabandhu stadium from 4.00 PM local time onwards and the program is expected to start by 5.30. The stadium has the capacity of 25,000 people. In the opening ceremony of ICC World Cup 2011, Bangladesh Prime Minster Sheikh officially started the sub continents biggest event of the year. Indian Cyber Army hacked 36 Pakistani Government Websites

A self-styled group calling itself "Indian Cyber Army" reportedly hacked at least 35 Pakistani government websites on Tuesday. The Pakistani government took immediate action to restore the hacked websites. On the hacked websites, a message reading "Hacked by Indian Cyber Army" was left. It was accompanied by a photograph of US soldiers raising a flag on the Japanese island of Iwo Jima during World War II but the American flag was digitally transformed into the Indian national flag.

PM Decides to Do Away with Hamid Saeed Kazmi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has decided to show the minister for religious affairs the door for defective Haj arrangements, corruption and giving irresponsible statement about the Saudi government, sources said. They said the suspension of Secretary Religious Affairs Agha Qazilbash and Joint Secretary Haj is also under consideration. The premier, the sources said, has also sought a written explanation from Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi for giving irresponsible statement. —INP Asim Yasin adds: Gilani, taking a serious notice, has ordered an immediate inquiry into inadequate arrangements made by the Haj Directorate for Pakistani Hajis and has immediately recalled the Director General Haj to Pakistan. The inquiry report is awaited. The prime minister said that shifting of responsibility and blame game were unacceptable and further ordered that the Foreign Ministry should in future coordinate all arrangements at the government-to-government level for the H...
