Avari Towers Karachi

All the international hotels in Karachi have to take especial care about security these days, but the Avari Towers is situated away from the road on a small hill so it is very well placed to protect its guests with heavy barriers, electronic explosive sniffer and rigorous car searches.I love Karachi and this hotel added to the joy we experienced. The upper floors offer the best views in Karachi.

President Zardari in Tokyo on Official Visit

President Asif Ali Zardari arrived here on Monday on a three day official visit to Japan.  The President is visiting Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan, to further strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries and open new avenues of cooperation. This will be the President’s second visit to Japan since assuming office. During his stay in Japan, the President will call on the Emperor of Japan. He will hold summit level talks with Prime Minister Naoto Kan.

Shabana Akhtar (born April 5, 1972) appeared on the Pakistan National Athletics scene in 1989 when she became the national champion in 100M and 200M. She also became the national champion in 4x100M Relay, 4×400 Relay, 400M, long jump and high jump during 1992 and maintains her record even today. She won a total number of 42 gold medals. She is also the first Pakistani female athlete to participate at the Olympics, when she competed in the women’s long jump at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.   Naseem Hamid comes from an impoverished slum in Pakistan’s biggest city of Karachi. The 22-year-old became South Asia’s fastest woman by winning the 100-metre in the 11 th South Asian Federation Games (SAF) in Dhaka on February 8 th 2010.
